The 37th edition of the Control Trade Fair was successfully concluded on May 6โ€“9, 2025 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Cente The Control Trade Fair for Quality Assurance and Measuring Instruments in Stuttgart, Germany, was launched in 1987 and is one of the most renowned exhibitions organized by Schall Exhibitions. More encouragingly, it is the first destination of the technology company’s manufacturing operations outside of mainland China.Dr. Liu Jun, President of Unicomp Technology Pte. Ltd, said that the decision to choose Johor as the company’s latest operating destination was based on careful planning and is confident that the state is the perfect location to further develop existing business potential.He said, Johor was chosen because it has a complete eco-system such as a sufficient supply chain where the company’s support suppliers are also located in the vicinity of Johor. Johor will become a high-tech industrial hub

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor’s desire to become a high-tech industry hub in Southeast Asia will become a reality with the entry of high-impact companies in the state. Menteri Besar, Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said, the operation of the X-ray machine manufacturing and installation company, Ray Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd with an investment value of RM50 million opens a step for Johor in that direction. He said, the increase in investment which is expected to increase up to RM150 million for the next phase in the coming year will provide added value and economic spillover to the state government. “The operation of this company which is almost 100 percent local workforce will open up more job opportunities up to 300 positions once it expands operations. Ray Tech has collaborated with local educational institutions such as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Southampton and Talent Corp to recruit local talent,” he said speaking at the inauguration of the X-ray machine manufacturing and installation company, Ray Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd at SILC Gelang Patah Industrial Area , here, today. Ray Tech, a subsidiary of Unicomp Technology China, has been operating at SILC Gelang Patah since September last year, with high innovation and expertise in the field of X-ray technology. Ray Tech offers a variety of high-tech X-ray detection instruments and equipment suitable for industries such as healthcare, electronics, semiconductors, food, electric vehicles, solar energy, lithium batteries, and security. The company also produced 500 patents and currently exports to more than 70 countries around the world. In other developments, the Chairman of the State Investment, Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee, Lee Ting Han informed that Johor approved about 250 investment projects involving various sectors in the first quarter of this year. Of that amount, he said, most of the investment projects that were brought in were from China. “China is indeed the main source of investment for Johor and Malaysia as a whole, we hope that this good relationship will continue to benefit Johor. “Among the main sectors and industries targeted are the chemical, petrochemical, aerospace, digital economy, electronics, pharmaceutical and medical industries,” he said.
